AOL celebrated their acquisition by Verizon and stepped out with a highly social, highly mobile event proclaiming “we are mobilizing the future”. The mobile video theme was woven throughout the massive event that drew 1,300 attendees who ranged from the c-suite to media to leaders in content and technology. Guests entered the event through an award winning grand entrance. “The Immersion Tunnel” came to life on three sides of LED screens displaying heart pumping imagery, sounds, and messaging that primed guests for the experience. The event also featured a 3-story DJ battle cube (a play on how consumers can personalize their own online experiences based on preferences), and a 150 curved projection screen acting as canvas for compelling visuals and messaging. The night was capped off with performances on two stages, streaming on Go90, by The Alabama Shakes and Snoop Dogg.
