Snowfall Block Party

CLIENT: FX Networks ╳ VENUE: Hudson Loft, LA ╳ ATTENDEES: 2,000+

FX’s Snowfall is a series that transports viewers back to the early 80’s and explores the genesis of the crack epidemic and how it impacted the city of Los Angeles. To introduce the show to the public we created an immersive 80’s themed pop-up in Downtown LA. The experience was open to the public for a summer weekend and brought the show to life with street art installations and variety of interaction points including: DJ/vinyl spinning lessons, a meet and greet with Lonzo Williams (the godfather of early West Coast hip-hop), a custom shoe lacing station, a barber shop featuring John Mosley, and classic LA treats such as BBQ and tacos. The space included a sneaker art gallery and murals painted by local artists and character vignettes featuring props and wardrobe elements from the show.
